This weekend I read When You’re Engulfed in Flames for about an hour.
It was yet again an enjoyable read from one of my favorite authors, Mr. David Sedaris. He’s a comedic genius who usually writes about his life. The latest chapter I read had to do with him accidentally spitting a cough drop on a sleeping woman who just recently started hating him.
Sometimes I wonder how comedians and comedic writers get so much great material from their lives. Part of me thinks that it goes with the territory. If you are a naturally funny person, you’re probably kind of awkward. This innate awkwardness will lead naturally to real life awkward situations. Wala, you have great stories to tell.
I hope to write a book someday. I have plenty of awkward stories to tell. Some may be about you!
Total Time Read: 1 Hour
