I spent much of last weekend (5hrs) reading. How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It ComingBooks on the Nightstand is a weekly podcast that has three segments (usually). They usually have some sort of theme, answer a listener question, and recommend two"Two Books We Can't Wait for You to Read."
Michael and Anne (the show's creators) both work for Randomhouse Publishing. Because of this, they have access to many books before the public has access. Thus the reviews are often of recent and upcoming releases that they've either read and loved, or have been getting a lot of buzz in the publishing world.
Three books I recently read and loved that were recommended on BOTNS are, The Bells: A Novel
Back to HIKPAWIHIC....Very interesting book. Mike Brown (author) should be lauded rather than shamed. That man could have been the owner of a few new planets, but he turned them down and pluto with it because he believed scientifically none of those planets were deserving.
I learned a lot about astronomy and scientific integrity. Mike Brown has principles, and he can write a descent book, too.
Time for Week 7: 5 Hours
Total: 26.5 Hours
