This is the End...My Friend

This past week (counting up to Thursday afternoon), I read an additional 5.5 hours. I did so by finishing, The Company We Keep: A Husband-and-Wife True-Life Spy Story, reading another third of  Scorecasting: The Hidden Influences Behind How Sports Are Played and Games Are Won, and another 8 chapters of The Scarlet Letter.

The books I finished during this project:
The Bells: A NovelThe Immortal Life of Henrietta LacksHow I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It ComingThe Investment AnswerThe Company We Keep: A Husband-and-Wife True-Life Spy Story

Books I Gave up on for Various Reasons:

Swamplandia!Something Missing: A Novel

A book I'm still reading:

Scorecasting: The Hidden Influences Behind How Sports Are Played and Games Are Won

Time read last week: 5.5 hrs
Grand Total: 40hrs (New Record for Me)

I thought this years reading project was the best yet and the worst yet. The best yet because the themes worked well most weeks for most of the students, more students broke the 50hr more than ever before (I think), and the students made me proud.

The big downside was the move to put this project more in the 4th quarter than the 3rd. I could feel an energy suck toward the end.

All in all, I enjoyed most of what I read, and I enjoyed giving you an incentive to read and hopefully enjoy doing it.

***Blogger crashing on the last night of the project is also something I'll never forget.
