(Graphic Design) White Space (August 29, 2012)

Today, you're going to learn about a new principle of design, the use of white space. To complete the lesson, follow the steps below. 

Step 1 - Open up two document windows.
---One for - Documents > Graphic Design > Principles of Design
---One for the folder - Computer > R: > Graphic Design >

Step 2. Drag the white space file into your prinples of design folder.

Step 3. Double Click the White Space file, and read the brief article on the power of White Space. Minimize your two document windows.

When finished reading the white space article...

Step 4. Open up the R > Graphic Design folder again. and Documents > Graphic Design (The main folder)
Step 5. Drag a copy of the folder Creative Workshop into your main Graphic Design folder

Step 6. Read the PDF inside of that folder, and complete a sketch for the challenge in your sketchbook.

We will be expanding on these sketches in later lessons as we get deeper into Adobe Illustrator.

****I will be collecting your Principles (C.R.A.P) file on friday, as well as looking at your finished sketch-up for the paint company.
