Week 5: Ellen & Mr. Strusz...Friends?

This week I spent a half hour reading The Odds by Stewart O'Nan. I don't exactly love it, so I may not finish it. I also started Seriously....I'm Kidding by Ellen Degeneres. I'm going to discuss whether or not Ellen and I could be friends.

1. Ellen seems to have an impulsion to tell a joke any time she thinks of one, even if it's random and off topic. On this account, I approve. 

2. Ellen seems pretty relaxed and happy most of the time. I can dig that. 

3. Ellen is able to make fun of herself (read her chapter's about being a Cover Girl). I appreciate that in a friend. 

4. Ellen had many nice thank yous in the beginning of her book. She seems to appreciate her friends. That's neat. 

5. Ellen is much older than me, and I'm a married man. So being friends with her might be weird for those reasons.
