(Computer Applications) New Trends (September 07, 2012)

In this next Unit (Computers in every day life), we'll examine technology trends that are affecting life in 2012, as well as learning to be masters of the Windows and Mac platforms.

To begin our journey of talking/writing/learning about trends, do the following research.

1. Create a new word document. (Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Word)

2. Save a copy of it in your documents right away. Call it (LASTNAME Technology Trends)

3. Using a size 16 font, make a title called: 3 Technology Trends that Interest Me
4. Go to this website

5. Select three trends that interest you.
6. Google those trends, and find more information (at least 2 websites each - again, the sites I linked to yesterday would be a big help here).
7. In your own words, write 1 or 2 paragraphs about what's new with each trend. Imagine you're explaining this new trend to your parents or grandparents.

• Example: If I was writing about tablets: I might write 1-2 paragraphs about the new Kindles Fires.

8. Once you've written about all three (1-2 paragraphs each)....
9. Save & Close
