Fonts come in thousands of varieties. What makes each font special? Today, we'll learn some terms to help discuss the anatomy of a letter.

Read the following exerpt:
R:\Vector Stock Files\Letter pt 1- from Mastering Type by Denise Bosler.pdf

Create a file in illustrator, and compare 2 distinctly different fonts (Ex: Old Style Serif font vs a Modern Looking Serif Font). Type some similar letters and words in each, and use as many terms as you can to discuss the difference between the two fonts. Save your file in your typography folder.

Save as: LASTNAME Anatomy of a Letter
Due: Friday end of class
