(Graphic Design) Embrace the Shake Week (February 24-28)

I've recently become obsessed with different ways to foster creativity in myself, and with my students. Through much of the rest of the semester, you will be my guinea pigs. These exercises are designed to help you be creative, even if you don't consider yourself the creative type. This week's creativity/design challenge is inspired by Phil Hansen's Ted talk: EMBRACE THE SHAKE

After the video:

Create a folder in your design folder: 03 - Embrace the Shake Limitation Challenge

Put 3 limit challenge along these lines on a piece of paper. Try to make your challenge as such that you think it would be doable in 2 days time. Make sure you leave some space between each challenge because you will be ripping the paper into separate parts.

Use the random word generator if needed.

You need to create a ______________________ with only silhouettes of  ______________________.

Illustrate what a ______________[animal inanimate object]'s  locker would look like inside if it was in high school.

Illustrate a _________________________[animal, person, or inanimate object] who is mad with a ________________________ [animal, person, or inanimate object] for the a reason of your choice.

Illustrate a combination of a __________________________ [animal, person, or inanimate object] and a _________________________[animal, person, or inanimate object].

at 2:30 bring your challenges to Mr. Strusz as 3 different folded peices of paper.
at 2:35, you will have picked 3 design challenges out of a bucket. You can trade afterward if you can find someone willing.

To get above a 90, you have to design at least two of them by Friday, end of class.
When you hand it in:
1. AI and JPEG files
2. Describe what you did/didn't find inspiring about this project.
3. Did you use any Contrast/Repetition/Alignment/Proximity
