(Computer Applications) The Internet of Things (February 18 - 20)

“The Internet of Things” refers to when physical items are tied to internet-like networks for the purposes of collecting data for various purposes.

Example: A theater chair could have a sensor that would communicate with a wifi signal saying if it’s occupied. People who come into the theater late, could reference a screen that would display this information by highlighting areas where seats are still open in groups of 2-5.

Assignment 1:
We are going to imagine the possibilities of this trend in technology, by considering objects our phone comes in contact with every day, and what data could be communicated between physical objects to make life a little more "informed".

You can work with a partner, make the file LASTNAME LASTNAME.... if you're working with a partner.

Assignment 2:
We are going to imagine a solution to two common problems, bad drivers and getting dressed in the morning.

In this assignment, you will imagine all the censors needed in a closet, and out on the roads and in cars, that would help address those two issues, and what computers could do to process that information to make driving safer.

The assignment
Put in folder 2.3
